Mike Booker began his working career at Metcut Research in 1978 as a co-op with Cincinnati State and joined Metcut as a full time technician in 1979. During his 21 year career at Metcut, Mike was involved in many areas of metals material testing. The types of testing included high cycle and low cycle fatigue, fracture toughness and crack growth, tensile, and creep. He also developed several techniques in producing crack flaws in materials used for calibration standards. He rejoined the corporation in August of 2000 after working in sales and as General Manager for another test facility. As a Program Manager at CTL, Mike has been a key part of the growth and development of the company. He has in-depth knowledge about procedures and test methods used with composites in both static and fatigue testing.
Mike is an active member of the ASTM D30 Committee and currently serves as the D30.04 sub-chair.
